Per questo il modo in cui Whyte ne parla mi ha colpita. &nbsp;<br>Non possiamo controllare gran parte di ci\u00f2 che ci accade: il momento in cui le cose avvengono, le scelte degli altri, le svolte imprevedibili della vita. Ma <em>possiamo<\/em> scegliere come rispondere. Possiamo decidere quanto restare aperte, quanto di noi offrire, se irrigidirci o ammorbidirci davanti a ci\u00f2 che ci viene incontro.<br>\u00c8 molto pi\u00f9 incoraggiante pensare di avere un ruolo nel plasmare la nostra vita. Altrimenti, che senso avrebbe decidere? Perch\u00e9 affrontare il peso delle scelte, o impegnarci a crescere, se tutto fosse gi\u00e0 stabilito?<br>Certo, ci sono eventi che sfuggono a ogni logica \u2014 momenti cos\u00ec improvvisi o assurdi da farci chiedere se fossero destino o semplice sfortuna. Molte di noi hanno vissuto dei \u201cquasi\u201d, situazioni che sarebbero potute andare in tutt\u2019altra direzione. Io li vedo come il frutto del caso, non del destino: \u00e8 la vita che ci ricorda quanto sia fragile e imprevedibile.<br>Eppure, se attribuisco al caso ci\u00f2 che fa male, forse dovrei fare lo stesso anche con ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 bello. Anche se \u00e8 molto pi\u00f9 facile chiamare <em>destino<\/em> ci\u00f2 che ci illumina, e caso ci\u00f2 che ci ferisce <em>.<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PATRIZIA:<br><\/strong>Leggendo questo brano ho rivisitato l\u2019importante distinzione tra Caso e Destino. <br>Il primo determina gli accadimenti senza alcun disegno o ragione, secondo un principio di pura casualit\u00e0, appunto. Il secondo concatena gli eventi secondo un principio di causa ed effetto, pi\u00f9 o meno intelligibile, muovendoli verso un fine preciso.<br>Del Caso siamo dunque alla merc\u00e9, ma sul destino esercitiamo una qualche forma di controllo e possiamo contribuire a modellarlo attraverso la narrazione individuale. Come spiega l\u2019autore: \u201cDue persone che guardano al futuro in modo diverso hanno un futuro diverso davanti a s\u00e9\u201d.<br>Di fronte a ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 stato, che \u00e8 o che sar\u00e0, l\u2019interpretazione individuale degli eventi separa chi rinuncia alla lotta da chi scende nell\u2019arena, chi spera da chi dispera, chi continua a credere da chi perde tutto. In essenza non siamo noi a controllare i dadi, ma nostra \u00e8 la facolt\u00e0 di decidere quale senso attribuire al gioco.\nTrovo che sia un concetto profondo e ben formulato sul quale vale la pena riflettere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BRUNELLA:<\/strong><br>Personalmente mi sono sempre ribellata all\u2019idea di essere un burattino mosso da un burattinaio, da forze misteriose e dominatrici a cui abbiamo dato il nome di Fato, Parche, Destino, Sorte, Caso, Predestinazione\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Credo sia stato Eraclito il primo a far corrispondere l\u2019idea di destino al nostro modo di essere. Una locuzione latina spesso ripetuta da mamma mia \u00e8 questa: <em>\u201cHomo faber est suae quisque fortunae\u201d<\/em>(l\u2019uomo \u00e8 artefice della propria fortuna). <br><br>Ogni responsabilit\u00e0 ci viene cos\u00ec restituita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come scrive Whyte: \u201cSiamo plasmati dal nostro modo di plasmare il mondo, che a sua volta ci plasma\u2026 Il nostro destino \u00e8 plasmato non solo dalle grandi potenze, ma anche dal modo in cui noi modelliamo e conduciamo le conversazioni quotidiane di una vita familiare.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cara Layla e Patrizia, non bisogna mai smettere di dialogare con il mondo e con la propria coscienza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-29a5fb6a wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/30-60-90.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/pexels-felix-mittermeier-956981-1.jpg?resize=6070%2C3414&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"uag-image-309\" width=\"6070\" height=\"3414\" title=\"pexels-felix-mittermeier-956981\" role=\"img\" \/><\/figure><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAYLA:I\u2019ve always struggled with the concept that destiny is set in stone.
