Se si viaggia spesso, oppure si lavora a stretto contatto con la natura, si \u00e8 continuamente messi di fronte al cambiamento: luoghi nuovi, persone nuove, edifici che nascono e scompaiono, il ciclo delle stagioni che modella il paesaggio. La transitoriet\u00e0 della vita resta vicina ai sensi.<br>Al contrario, se si sta per lo pi\u00f9 a casa (come \u00e8 successo a me ultimamente), si pu\u00f2 cadere nell\u2019illusione che le giornate finiscano per fondersi l\u2019una nell\u2019altra. Si rischia di non cogliere i mutamenti pi\u00f9 silenziosi: le giornate che si allungano, le persone care che si muovono un po\u2019 pi\u00f9 lentamente, i fiori in casa che sbocciano e poi appassiscono.<br>La vita\u00a0<em>\u00e8<\/em>\u00a0movimento, cambiamento continuo \u2014 ed \u00e8 forse questo a renderla insieme cos\u00ec luminosa e cos\u00ec difficile da reggere.<br>Il modo in cui Whyte descrive la vita come un pellegrinaggio \u00e8 profondamente suggestivo: \u201cIn fondo, un pellegrino \u00e8 qualcuno in viaggio in un mondo di rivelazioni imminenti, in cui qualcosa sta per accadere, incluso, e in modo ancora pi\u00f9 inquietante, come parte del suo arrivo finale, la propria scomparsa.\u201d<br>This week\u2019s chapter is probably the deepest I\u2019ve encountered so far and the hardest to gather my thoughts around. It speaks to the journey of life and its inevitable destination: death. The sheer magnitude of that concept can be overwhelming to contemplate.<br>Whyte dice anche: \u201cStranamente, al nostro arrivo a quell\u2019ultima transizione del cammino, \u00e8 proprio l\u00ec che abbiamo l\u2019opportunit\u00e0 di capire chi ha fatto il viaggio e di apprezzare il privilegio di essere esistiti come una particolarit\u00e0, un individuo irripetibile; una traiettoria completa in s\u00e9 stessa.\u201d<br>Ma non sono sicura che a tutti sia concessa questa prospettiva. La vita spesso si interrompe \u2014 pu\u00f2 finire in modo improvviso e inaspettato, prima che ci sia il tempo di riflettere sulla forma dell\u2019intero viaggio.<br>Spero che, se sar\u00f2 abbastanza fortunata da vivere una vita lunga e in salute, potr\u00f2 un giorno guardarmi indietro e vedere un pellegrinaggio che abbia tenuto in s\u00e9 un equilibrio misericordioso tra gioia e dolore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PATRIZIA:<\/strong><br>La lettura di&nbsp;<em>Pellegrini<\/em>&nbsp;ha evocato in me una visione quasi epica che prover\u00f2 a descrivere: una moltitudine di gente in cammino. Alcune in gruppi, altre in coppia, altre sole. Giovani che andavano con passo veloce ed entusiasta, anziani che procedevano lenti e stanchi. Lungo il percorso qualcuno cadeva, qualcuno veniva soccorso, qualcuno si rialzava, qualcuno restava a terra. Chi rimaneva al loro fianco si soffermava per un breve momento, qualcuno restava pi\u00f9 a lungo, qualcuno non sembrava pi\u00f9 volere proseguire la marcia. Verso dove? Non vedevo meta, solo gente a perdita d\u2019occhio.&nbsp;<br>Non posso dire di avere provato n\u00e9 gioia n\u00e9 tristezza nel contemplare quel gregge umano, solo interesse nell\u2019osservarne i comportamenti. Lungo il cammino si incontravano, si parlavano o si ignoravano, si amavano o si odiavano, si capivano o si fraintendevano, e ogni interazione ascriveva a ciascuno espressioni, emozioni, identit\u00e0, carattere e unicit\u00e0.<br>Siamo viaggiatori, dice Whyte, resi reali dal contatto con i simili. \"Tutti abbiamo bisogno di un aiuto, visibile o invisibile, per sopravvivere\". Anno dopo anno viviamo, impariamo, ricordiamo, maturiamo, ma non siamo mai abbastanza forti, mai realmente pronti, mai veramente completi e raramente paghi.&nbsp;<br>Tirati tra demonio e santit\u00e0, impariamo a godere e ad apprezzare momenti e fasi della vita solo allorch\u00e9 ne intuiamo, sbigottiti e per un attimo, l\u2019assoluta fragilit\u00e0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BRUNELLA:<br><\/strong>Viaggiare fa parte della nostra essenza e non \u00e8 solo movimento, \u00e8 soprattutto un\u2019esperienza trasformativa.\nNessuno torna uguale a come era partito.<br>Le motivazioni che ci spingono a riempire uno zaino o a fare le valigie sono diverse: noia, depressione, spirito di avventura, stress, bisogno di cambiamento, di una pausa dalla routine, ricerca di libert\u00e0, desiderio di solitudine\u2026.Il viaggio pu\u00f2 essere deliberato verso una meta o pu\u00f2 essere senza direzione; pu\u00f2 essere temporaneo o permanente.<br>Si parte per lasciare a casa i problemi di una vita sacrificata; si parte anche per scomparire. Il viaggio pu\u00f2 essere una scelta meditata o una fuga.\nAlla partenza pu\u00f2 anche non seguire l\u2019arrivo.<br>Un tempo il pellegrino viaggiava a piedi e viveva di elemosina e di furti: uno straniero spesso malvisto. Un tempo il pellegrinaggio aveva soprattutto un valore religioso, era un viaggio di espiazione.
